My 90's style page - that I coded using NOTEPAD++

My Mutimedia Page!

For the astute of you, I'm using YouTube directly, only so this bit supports ALL browsers, and you are not inflicted by codec issues, acivex issues, outdated flash and all those bad things of the 90's!

My little disclaimer about this site

Right, all the spelling mistakes are NOT intentional, they are the mistakes I made during constructing this site, and have left them there. I have INTENTIONALLY haven't checked! The image that refuses to load at the bottom, that's intentional, there was always a broken image....that never got fixed!, the dancing baby?

Any self respecting website had one! I have intentionally not used tables, layers, frames etc, as this site represents what we had at our disposal when I first started. The background? Before this you has one colour, WHITE! So there was a point that ALL sites looked like this! Hell we only changed the colours like my homepage, becuse we could! Not only that, we had to have instructions on how to use the site! Also as disk space was limited, web 'designers' used only a couple of browsers to check, not only that, we werent going to check EVERY resolution either, hense the 'best browsed at', and that was usually the one that the web 'designer' used on his home PC.

I have accidently added the browser buttons twice on one page, as I copy/pasted, and not looked at the text propery - unintentiona mistake, but intentionally left it there - If you see more, then that's fine! It's meant to be like this for a full on nostaliga look!

Things I haven't done, that really would have made this MUCH worse! I haven't added a sound file, so when the page loads, it played something on a loop!, The dancing baby could have been the background (yes that did happen - A LOT!) No guestbook, I dont want my inbox full of trolls! I was toying with interntionally putting a LARGE file up, just so it mimicked the old dial up days, but was talked out of it!

This isn't a butalist website, this is designed by someone who made sites EXACTLY like this back in the early days of the web, and am using what was the standards of the day - as you can see, asthetics wasn't on the page - let alone taste!

This site is only 15 files large and 'just' under 1/2MB, not much by today's standards, but that would have cost us nealy £60 for proper hosting AND at 1MB total storage, so we all ended using Geocities!! While it has been fun to revisit on how we did things in the 90's, OH MAN! Working on the web is SO MUCH easier on the eye today!!!

Best viewed on these browsers at a resoltion of 1024X768!
